John Mitchels GAA Liverpool team followed the flag to Coventry

On Saturday 1st June, we have transported the John Mitchels GAA (The Gaelic Athletic Association) Liverpool team to Coventry for a big day. Roger Casements GAA hosted The Ann Boyle Memorial Family Day, an event that celebrates fun and underage football team from over the North West.

All teams represented the club with merit on that day.  The Under 13 boys and under 14 girls were narrowly beaten in both cup finals. The Under 9’s came home with The Shield and the Under 11’s won all their matches to come home victors, beating a very good Roger Casements team in a hard fought final.

What we have offered?

It was a pleasure for us to transport the team over the weekend so, we organised a special competition for them. The competition involved taking a picture of themselves and our coach, use our hashtag #followtheflagtoCoventry and upload it on their Social Media accounts. We offered the chance of winning a voucher of £50 from oneills.com to only one member of team, by entering our online competition.

The lucky winner chosen at random is Nula Bridson (please see the photo below). Congratulations!

Lee Quinn from John Mitchels said: ‘John Mitchels had a great day at the Anne Boyle tournament in Coventry on Saturday. The team were promptly picked up at 7am by our excellent driver Dave and we travelled in comfort with Selwyns. This made a big difference to our preparations and meant the teams started all their matches on time and after good warm ups! All in all an excellent day made so much better by the ease at which we travelled there and back. Thanks Selwyns…look forward to next year already.’

Thank you John Mitchels for choosing Selwyns Travel! Congratulations and good luck in the future games!
